How the Canada Post Strike Affects MyTeabox

Black Friday

The Canada Post strike will not affect our Black Friday sale. 

  • Our Black Friday Sale will run from November 28 to Dec 3 on our partner website (tearunners.ca & tearunners.com)
  • All full size bags of tea & teaware will be available for purchase from our U.S. inventory. 
  • All Canadian orders will be imported into Canada (duty-free) and shipped via UPS around Dec 5th

  

Subscriptions

Unfortunately, our regular subscriptions in Canada are affected by this strike. (USA is not affected).

MyTeabox uses Canada Post Lettermail to ship our subscription boxes within Canada, as it is the only service that allows us to offer free shipping.

Unfortunately, alternative carriers like UPS are significantly more expensive, costing around $18 per shipment compared to Lettermail’s $4.

We cannot ship subscription boxes while this strike is on.  

We are watching the situation closely and will keep our customers updated on the status of shipping the December boxes. 

 

Christmas Gift Subscriptions

If you are looking to send a gift subscription for Christmas, we recommend placing your order from our partner brand Tea Runners.

Tea Runners proudly owns MyTeabox.ca, and both subscriptions feature the same high-quality teas. Even better, Tea Runners offers the unique option for you or your gift recipient to customize every tea in the subscription to suit personal tastes.

Tea Runners offers special Christmas Gift Subscriptions that work a little differently.  On Christmas morning, your lucky recipient will receive an email notifying them of their gift and who it's from. They’ll have until December 31 to customize their first box, which is scheduled to ship around January 7th.

Tea Runners Christmas Gift Subscriptions are available for purchase now, and we don’t anticipate the ongoing strike lasting into January, so it’s very unlikely that orders of our Christmas Gift Subscriptions will be affected.
